I photograph because I'm driven to capture fleeting compelling moments, and because I want to share them. I've always been captivated by unexpected juxtapositions, and that which often goes unnoticed. I love witnessing things that beg a question, or evoke a timeless magical feeling. I find my richest inspiration abroad, which bears witness to history and spirit and ingenuity. It's the mundane, that often holds the most intimate beauty, if beheld with a fresh eye.
SE Asian Series - Ingenuity expresses itself in both survival and opulence. Despite, or because of, the tumult of history, much of SE Asia is graced with the beauty of some combination of nature, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Portugal, Holland, England and Indochine français.
